Matcha is such an amazing, versatile product, that you benefit from it in ways other than drinking or cooking with it. So for this week's #MatchaMonday, we experimented with making matcha face masks!
Matcha green tea works wonders for your skin because it is so antioxidant rich. Not only does it reduce redness and inflammation, but it also aids in preventing premature aging. Matcha also makes your skin smoother, brightens your complexion, and gives you a beautiful glow .
Matcha Face Mask
- 2 tsp Matcha
- 1/2 tsp Coconut oil
- Oat meal (optional)
- Put the matcha green tea into a bowl. Melt the coconut oil and add to the matcha, along with a few drops of water.
- Mix until a thick paste forms. Avoid adding too much water or it will not stay on your face.
- If the mixture is too runny, add the oat meal 1 teaspoon at a time and mix, until it thickens
- Apply to clean face and leave on for 15 minutes or longer if desired.
We thoroughly enjoyed our mini spa day, and had such a good laugh in the process. We'll definitely be making this a part of our weekly regime, because who wouldn't want their skin smoother than a baby's bottom!
